If I were to say to a group of you readers "Hey meet me in Greenland the continent next week, arrive on your own, and I'll see you there." With that specific destination in mind there would be only a few specific ways you could actually get to Greenland to meet us. Some ways are very efficient, and others not so much. If you walked, probably at some point you would have to get on a boat but it would also take you a long time.
Probably most of you would eventually come to the conclusion to travel efficiently you would have to book a flight. With your search I'm sure that you would discover flights to Greenland are limited and only certain airlines would actually be able to fly you in.
The point of this exercise is to encourage you to get specific when aiming to complete your spiritual, emotional, and physical goals. To arrive at your destination the first point you would have to address is what is your starting point? From that point you could also determine your destination route, and plot a specific plan of action to get there.
For the point of this exercise the starting point is YOU! Some great first questions to ask yourself are "Who am I now? Where do I want to get to? At what time do I need to arrive?
To ask these questions takes into account your personal likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, dreams and or fantasies of where you see yourself somewhere in the future. It's okay to be exactly who you are right now. Let's use the example of a forty five year old woman who is very out of shape, a beginner to fitness, and has an extra twenty five pounds packed on. The first goal she may have is that she wants to wear a size 10 pant, and to walk up and down the stairs without getting out of breath.
As the fitness newbie moves forward in her fitness goals, and trims her body; she begins to discover that she really enjoys working out and meeting her fitness goals. Because she took action towards her initial goals, a new dream of being a personal trainer pops into her mind and heart. So the question of "Where am I now?" is now answered, "I'm a person who enjoys working out and meeting my fitness goals." Where do I want to go? She answers "I want to get paid as a personal trainer."
To become a personal trainer requires specific action. It requires her to take a certification course in that field. The second part is to overcome her fear to get and then train her first client.
Everyone is in a different place in life with different goals. The destinations are colored by the "Who" you are in the moment and that place is varied for all of us.
You have to objectively observe and make note of the exact spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial state you are in. Don't judge any part of your journey. Based on that information to get to a new destination in your life, there can only be a few chosen paths for you to walk on, just like our trip to Greenland.
Who you are, where you want to get to, and the how is mostly up to you. If you have a specific destination, there are specific plans and then milestones that you will pass.
Anyone who wants a college education has to enroll in college first, take the required courses, and graduate three to four years later. However if that same person wanted to be self employed and earn a million dollars doing so, the plan may or may not include college.
When I was a young child I always dreamed of being an illustrator, as I got older I took every kind of drawing, painting, perspective classes, and composition classes I could. I attended an art college with that focus. But something happened that threw me off course and I lost my way. After a few years of floundering I redirected my vision to become an actress. I attended a drama college, auditioned for plays, films, and learned as much as I could about the film industry, and the tools of the trade. But still with everything I attempted nothing would sooth the turmoil I felt inside, or bring me any peace.
When I asked "Who am I?" I had a very different answer. "I'm an emotional mess, a lost soul, at rock bottom." "Where do I have to get to? My answer was "I want to like myself, and I want genuine peace inside."
For me to reach that destination was actually a long journey within. The how to get inside was the path of yoga, an intense self awareness, observation, self forgiveness, and acceptance of myself and others exactly as we were then. It was after I started down that path that I said to myself, "I can teach this." The thought of becoming a yoga teacher, counselor, and guide opened up to me, after I completed this intense soul searching, and self help period. I didn't know that it would become my life's work. Now I can really say that I'm peaceful. I like me, and I enjoy what I'm doing each moment of the day.
The study and knowledge that I acquired both in the art field and the film field hasn't been wasted either. With the art background, I'm equipped to design brochures, flyers, and marketing material that I need for business. The film background has given me the skills and confidence to be comfortable being in front of the camera, and behind the lens as I write, film and edit and my small video lessons of encouragement, and post them.
The life lessons you have previously learned will also help you redefine yourself and focus your skills on the uniqueness of what you have to offer. There is more than enough to go around. You just have to have the courage to do what you love.
Let's revisit our newly certified personal trainer. She is getting clients doing what she loves. She is now open, confident, friendly, and strong. If she was open to a relationship, a person involved in fitness or personal training, might also find her strength attractive. Together they would morph into a strong relationship or business alliance that takes them higher still. But if she didn't take the initial steps towards her fitness goals, the two would never have met. To take that first step towards a specific destination is needed and then more of your life plan opens up for you.
To sum up this discussion then specific questions and answers bring specific results and based on that information there really are only a few efficient ways to get to Greenland. Where is your Greenland? Perhaps I'll see you there.

With a rapid change in lifestyles, work pressures, a fast paced life or even personal habits, hypertension has come across as a medical issue of significant magnitude and serious concern.
The condition is vastly prevalent in both, developing and developed countries. In United States, 67 million people are afflicted by hypertension, which is nearly one in every three adults, and only half of these people (47%) have the condition under control. Some other medical disorders which are equally risky are also attributed to the condition. Around 7 in 10 people who have their first heart attack are afflicted by hypertension. And the same stands true for stroke as well. Around 8 in 10 people who suffer from their first stroke have high blood pressure. Moreover, hypertension is very often linked with kidney ailments, and if one is suffering from a kidney disease, his chances of contracting hypertension are higher.
What is hypertension?
When our heart beats, it pumps blood through the entire body by means of arteries, and blood pressure is defined as the force of blood on the vessel walls. Hypertension is another name for high blood pressure.
When one's blood pressure is higher, the heart is required to pump harder, and the condition is called hypertension. This is a condition that has many effects on our body. It could cause damage to organs and many illnesses as well, such as kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke or aneurysm, which is swelling of arteries or cardiac chambers.
Normal levels of blood pressure should be below 120/80, wherein 120 is the peak blood pressure in arteries and 80 is the minimum blood pressure in arteries. When blood pressure reaches the limit of 140/90, the condition is known as hypertension.
If one suffers from high blood pressure due to unknown causes, it is known as essential blood pressure. But hypertension may be caused due to secondary causes, such as kidney disorders or tumors, and the same is known as secondary hypertension.
The condition is more prevalent in adults and seniors, but even those younger, teens and children could be at risk. About two million teens and children in United States are afflicted by hypertension.
What causes hypertension?
There are some factors which are known to enhance the risk of occurrence of hypertension. These include smoking, being obese or overweight, not getting regular exercise in everyday life, or even high levels of salt intake.
Similarly, insufficient consumption of calcium, magnesium or potassium from our diets, a deficiency of Vitamin D or higher alcohol consumption increase the chances of prevalence of hypertension. Stress makes one more vulnerable to hypertension, and even genetics, or a prior family history of hypertension makes one more likely to contract the condition. Kidney ailments, some thyroid problems or tumors also make one more vulnerable to hypertension.
How can one find out if he has hypertension?
Some symptoms of hypertension include severe headaches, chest pain, dizziness, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, nausea, problems with breathing, or blood in the urine. However, it very often happens that a person suffering from hypertension does not have any of these symptoms. This is common, and one in three people who are afflicted by hypertension do exhibit any of the symptoms of hypertension. So one must try and make sure that he goes for periodic blood screening tests, even if no symptoms of high blood pressure are prevalent.

A large percentage of us are afflicted by hypertension, and it is a condition which calls for attention. Even while one has no symptom of hypertension, if one is ailing from the condition, it can lead to or aggravate secondary disorders, like heart attack and stroke. Some other health conditions which can be attributed to hypertension include aneurysms and kidney failure.
Nearly 3 in 10 Americans suffer from hypertension, but do not know about it. So it's always recommendable to have your blood pressure checked, at least once every two years.
Many people take medications for hypertension, but one must try out some basic lifestyle changes that really work, and can help you go a long way in keeping a check on high blood pressure. Some of these ways include making sure that one eats healthy, keeping one's weight at healthy levels, getting some regular exercise and limiting consumption of alcohol.
1. Go For A Healthier Diet
One could make a start by going for some very simple changes in one's everyday diet. Since salt increases blood pressure, one must try and make sure that consumption of salt is in controlled limits. One must use less salt while cooking, and maybe reduce consumption of chips and fries.
Then, one must consume a diet that is low fat and is high on fibers. A diet high in fruits and vegetables also helps keep the blood pressure under check, because fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers.
In particular, one must try and go for fruits and vegetables that are rich in potassium. One must ideally have 2000 - 4000 mg of potassium daily in his diet. Some of the foods high in potassium are potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, peas, kidney beans and honeydew melons.
2. Keep Alcohol Consumption In A Check
If one consumes alcohol, one must make sure that the consumption is within the recommendable limits, and this would greatly reduce chances of developing hypertension. Preferably, men must not have more than three to four units of alcohol a day, and women must not have more than two to three units a day. Another reason why it is recommendable to avoid alcohol is because alcohol is high in calories, so one could gain weight, and correspondingly, that could work towards increasing blood pressure.
3. Maintain A Healthy Weight
For keeping blood pressure under check or for avoiding hypertension altogether, one of the best ways to go about the same is to avoid being overweight and maintaining a healthy weight. When one is a little overweight, the heart is required to work harder, and that can increase your blood pressure.
But for a healthier heart, one does not need to lose a lot of weight; even a slight weight loss can work wonders for not just one's cardiovascular heath, but also one's everyday health and well being. This could start with something as simple as avoiding fizzy drinks and sodas, making sure you have a healthy breakfast everyday and replacing your favorite snack for something healthier.
4. Be Active And Get Some Regular Exercise
For regulating hypertension, regular exercise and some everyday activity are equally important. Regular workouts or just being active keeps the heart and blood vessels in a good condition, and so it allows one to keep a check on hypertension. Moreover, regular exercise also helps one lose weight, and the same can work very effectively for anyone who may be suffering from hypertension.
As a rule, adults must try and make sure that they get around 150 minutes of physical activity every week, and the workout should be of a moderate intensity, such as fast walking or cycling. If the workout makes you feel slightly out of breath, it is a more effective exercise, but one must check the feasibility for a strenuous workout for himself with a medical professional before taking up any intense activity.
5. Switchover To Decaffeinated Coffee
To reduce the risk of hypertension or any of the related disorders, one must try and make sure that he keeps his caffeine intake in check. Like if one likes to have four cups of coffee a day, it's a great idea to reduce the intake or make a switchover to decaffeinated coffee.
6. Go For Green Tea, A Great Choice For An Improved Cardiovascular Health
Or as an alternative, one may choose to take up green tea, which works very effectively towards normalizing blood pressure. When one has green tea for three months, the blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic are reduced by a little more than 2 mmHg for anyone suffering from hypertension. This can reduce chances of occurrence of stroke by as much as 5%. And green tea also helps prevent hypotension. Medical professionals often recommend having 3-4 cups of green tea a day, for the numerous health benefits it offers.

Unfortunately, times are such that our society isn't safe anymore; more so for women. A few years ago, women could go out on the streets at night without the fear of getting assaulted. But these days, criminal activities are such on the rise that every woman has embraced the fact that they need to learn to defend themselves in precarious situations.
Women deserve respect and protection
Women do not cause, welcome, or should be ambushed. Every individual once in a while exercise misguided thinking about security conduct, yet that does not make them in charge of the assault. Assailants are in charge of their assaults and their utilization of savagery to overwhelm, control, and manhandle another human being. Whatever a women's choice in a given circumstance, whatever activity she does or does not take, it's not their fault. Their choice to survive in the most ideal way they can must be regarded. These classes ought not to be utilized as a judgment against a casualty/survivor. Good programs don't "tell" an individual what she "ought to" or "ought not" do. A project ought to offer choices and methods to deal with tricky circumstances. A system may bring up what usually works best, as a rule; however every circumstance is one of a kind and a definite conclusion rests with the individual.
What constitutes self-defence for women?
These kinds of training; be it for a man or woman isn't that different. It's all about enhancing certain skills like awareness, confrontation, physical techniques and several others. These skills help individuals escape, counter or resist any attacks. It's not just about physical training.
Does it work?
Well, of course, it does! These kinds of programs help individuals ascertain the danger ahead, re-evaluate and take security measures.
Does it provide guaranteed protection?
No, there aren't any guarantees in life. These trainings won't guarantee that your safety but it will train you to be more prepared to deal with any precarious situations.
Is there any standard for these kinds of trainings?
No, every training is different from the other. There are several formats and methods involved which depends on the capacity of individuals learning it.
Which is good? Is it male or female instructors?
This depends on whom you are comfortable with. If you are a woman, you will feel more comfortable training under a female trainer as you can look up to her as a role model. On the other hand, men will be more comfortable under male instructors.
Will it take years to learn these courses?
No. There are several kinds of courses, both short and long. It's not martial arts that you have to master for years. A few classes will be just enough to train you to defend yourself.
How to choose a class?
Anyone can use marketing gimmicks by advertising their training institute as "best" or "guaranteed success" but you should refrain from falling into such false presumptions. Research enough to ensure that you find a training institute that is genuinely good.
Is it necessary to be physically for to take these classes?
You don't have to be physically fit or be an athlete to take these courses. A good course should be apt for all ages irrespective of their physical structure.

The United Nations reports that up to three million women are murdered on average every year, most of which are preceded by rape or sexual assault. Approximately 24,000 women going missing in the USA every year, few of whom are ever heard of again unless their remains are found. It is presumed by law enforcement that most of these women were raped and murdered. Martha Stout, a psychologist at Harvard University, estimates that up to four percent of the population are sociopaths or psychopaths... (the difference between the two conditions are not relevant for these purposes).
In some countries, but not all, there is public pressure to investigate these disappearances and murders and there are increased efforts to do this. Investigations, however, are after-the-fact. More important, of course, is devising ways in which these rapes and murders can be prevented. It is not just important, it is vital for women of all ages to learn strategies and tactics that will enable them to reduce their risk of becoming a victim of sexual predators. Women are often told to avoid dangerous areas for their safety and wellbeing but sexual predators are not confined to "dangerous areas"; they can be present on the street, at parties, in remote areas and even in the home.
The first priority for every woman is to learn to become more aware of their surroundings at all times. This ranges from developing and using their peripheral vision, to understanding their surroundings, to recognizing potential danger, to not allowing themselves to become distracted, to developing street smarts. For example, walking after dark almost anywhere listening to a mobile audio device can make a woman a target for predators on the prowl for victims. In fact, if women distract themselves in this manner, they can be attacked or abducted in broad daylight in areas of sparse foot traffic. Learning how to react to strangers, even something as innocuous as someone asking for the time, could be the set-up for an assault. Not covering windows in the home after dark or even answering the door could have dire consequences.
Some women carry self-defense devices, i.e., pepper spray, electro-shock device, or even a handgun where it is legal, however, unless these devices are in one's hand at all times, they will be of little use against a surprise attack.
There are many strategies and tactics a woman can learn and employ to reduce her risk and it incumbent upon her to learn of these things. Furthermore, a basic knowledge of a practical method of self-defense can be invaluable. It must be simple, direct, uncomplicated, potentially lethal and can be learned in a short time. If a woman arms herself with this knowledge she should be able to live her life in safety and without fear.

Prostate malignant growth is the second most normal type of disease to influence men, after skin malignancy; in the United States alone, this forceful malignancy kills more than 30,000 men for every year. Be that as it may, when it is gotten in the beginning times, prostate malignant growth is commonly treatable through chemotherapy, radiation treatment, or complete expulsion of the prostate.

Prostate expulsion, which is every now and again performed through a strategy known as radical prostatectomy, is prescribed in around 60% of cases, especially when the malignancy has not yet spread to different organs. In any case, prostatectomy reactions can be critical, extending from loss of bladder control to erectile brokenness. Prior to choosing to go this course, men ought to know about these, just as essential measures for penis care that may restrict their loss of sexual capacity.

Regular prostatectomy reactions:

Urinary incontinence. During expulsion of the prostate, it isn't phenomenal for harm to jump out at the urinary sphincter, the muscle that controls the opening and shutting of the bladder. Subsequently, numerous men experience some level of urinary incontinence following the technique. While some may have just gentle spillage, others can experience full loss of power over their bladder, which may significantly affect their way of life.

Erectile brokenness. The nerve tissue that is in charge of sending messages from the cerebrum to the penis so as to trigger erections is at times harmed during prostate evacuation; it isn't unprecedented for men to experience impermanent or changeless erectile brokenness following medical procedure. Sometimes, the nerve tissue may recover, in spite of the fact that this can take months or even years. In different occasions, men settle taking drugs or penile inserts to improve their erections.

Expanding penis sensation

Men who experience prostatectomy ought to have reasonable desires following medical procedure; it is misdirecting to guarantee that any gadget or item can dispose of the symptoms of radical prostatectomy. Nonetheless, with some regard for self-care, numerous men can keep on getting a charge out of a sound sexual coexistence in the years to come.

So as to improve their prospects for sexual capacity, men ought to do the accompanying:

Advance solid flow. Normal exercise, a heart-solid eating routine, and suitable attire (not very tight, not very free) can improve blood stream to all pieces of the body, including the penis, taking into consideration oxygenation of the nerves, skin and veins. Oxygen is significant in the fix of harmed tissue and regrowth of solid new tissue, so keeping the heart siphoning is fundamental to penile capacity.

Farthest point harming exercises. Undesirable way of life decisions, for example, smoking, intemperate liquor utilization, and utilization of recreational substances can add to erectile brokenness; all men ought to maintain a strategic distance from these propensities.

Sustain the penile tissue. Like the remainder of the body, the penis needs sufficient nourishment to work getting it done. A portion of the significant supplements required for penis wellbeing can be found in a solid eating regimen; be that as it may, even men who eat right frequently don't get enough of specific nutrients and amino acids to profit the penile tissue. Applying a brilliant penis wellbeing creme (most wellbeing experts prescribe Man 1 Man Oil) can furnish the skin of the penis with these imperative supplements, keeping the penis sound, flexible and responsive.
